Art supplies, paint and an artist's palette representing healing through expressive arts therapy

EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY IN UTAH

HEALING DOESN'T ALWAYS

HAPPEN THROUGH WORDS.

Sometimes you can feel something long before you can explain it. Creativity can help you get there.
BEGIN THE WORK

REACHING WHAT WORDS CAN'T

Sometimes your body knows something before your mind understands it, or an emotion feels too complicated to name. Expressive Arts Therapy uses your senses, imagination, and creativity — through art, movement, music, writing, and more — to explore what's happening inside you.
You don't need to be an artist, and you don't need to be "good" at art. The process matters more than the product. I won't interpret what you make — I'll create space for you to discover your own meaning.

WHAT EXPRESSIVE ARTS CAN INCLUDE

  • Visual art — drawing, painting, collage, photography.
  • Movement & body-based expression — dance, yoga, embodied exploration.
  • Music & sound — listening, rhythm, active music-making.
  • Writing & poetry — journaling, creative writing, reflection.
  • Drama & enactment — storytelling, role play, perspective-taking.
  • Guided imagery & visualization
  • Nature-based experiences
  • Ceremony & ritual

AN EXPERIENTIAL WAY OF HEALING

This is about more than making art — it's an opportunity to become curious about your inner world. You might create an image for something you're carrying, use movement to explore an emotion, or write from the perspective of a part of yourself.

Because expressive arts engage the whole person, they can be especially powerful when you're feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or simply tired of thinking your way through everything.
Exploring Your Inner World Through Expressive Arts Therapy
In this interview, Kalli Kronmiller explores the power of expressive arts therapy to help us discover and connect with our deeper internal world. Through creativity and self-expression, we can access parts of ourselves that words alone may not reach.

What Shifts

A DIFFERENT WAY TO COME HOME TO YOURSELF

  • You discover something new. Something you didn't know you knew, or words for something hard to name.
  • A quiet part gets heard. One that's been waiting for a way to be expressed.
  • You don't have to explain everything. There's relief in simply having a place to create instead.

YOUR CREATIVITY CAN BE PART

OF YOUR HEALING

You are not something that needs to be fixed. Healing is a process we participate in together — through relationship, curiosity, and your own capacity to create, connect, and grow.
